These feel solid, structurally, I didn't have to bend or tweak them, they opened up and fit perfectly. Much better than your typically drug store readers. And a spring hinge like quality glasses. Light, I wore them for an extended period and they didn't both me on the bridge or ears, where heavy sunglasses can get uncomfortable after a while. They look better than typical readers too, I won't feel self-conscious wearing them in public. The photochromic lenses are crystal clear indoors, but darken to a nice gray shade in the sunlight. The progressive magnification works out great for me. For the typical older person, who is farsighted and has trouble reading, these should be a big help. but I have the opposite problem—I'm nearsighted from years of computer work. But when I need to drive or watch a movie, I put in my contacts, which correct for distant vision, but then close up work becomes difficult. Typically, I deal with it by putting on readers for close work when I have my contacts in, but I have to take them off when I look up, and back on when I look down at my phone. With these, I can put them on and watch TV clearly, while still being able to look down to my phone. Very nice to be able to put these on around the house when I have my contacts in, and be able to look out the window, watch TV, check the computer, and play chess on my phone without swapping readers on and off. Very convenient. It comes with a lightweight but sturdy protective plastic case, the kind with a living hinge. Nothing fancy, but better than the soft bags that usually come with typical readers.

I just love these. When working, which I don't do a lot of, I usually need reading glasses for 30 seconds here and there. I can put these on and go about my work and I forget they are on my head and I am seeing far and near. I have some bifocal's (clear up top) where you see the lines and they just distract me, I thought I would get use to them, but I never did. Back before I had Lasik eye surgery on one eye (20+ years ago) I had glasses that gave me far and near sight and I was good with wearing them 18 hours a day. That may be the reason I am comfortable wearing these.Anyway these glasses don't turn very dark in the sun, which I don't mind and don't get dark at all in the car. I am good with that too. They are comfortable, sturdy, nice looking. I have had no problems with them at all. I really did not know these progressive photochromic reading glasses existed until I saw these. I have 4 or 5 pair of regular reading glasses and those non progressive eyeglasses. To me this is what one needs if your going between far and near objects. I would buy these and will most like buy another pair to keep in the truck.

This is a nice pair of glasses. I need glasses for long-term computer use and for reading small type, so I scatter "cheater" glasses all over the house. Not these. They stay by the computer because they give me a clear view of the screen and, being progressive, they also allow me to read tiny things up close. Now, these are not perfect; my very expensive prescription glasses that I use at work are a touch sharper (they fix my astigmatism too), and the progression is optimized to maximize the portion of the lenses dedicated to focus on the monitor, with less space used for distance (at the top) and close-up (at the bottom. These glasses seem a bit more even in their distribution of lens space. But these do the same basic job at a fraction of the cost, making a great value.

Glasses are a hard thing to order online without trying on but I decided to give these a try. I have prescription progressive glasses and I have also had transition prescription glasses but I have never tried OTC reading glasses with transition and progressive lenses. Excellent value for the price. I really appreciate the progression from 1.5 strength to no magnification on the top third. The frames are incredibly comfortable and the metal seems more durable and stronger than some glasses I have had that have been far more expensive. They fit so well and and are look great. I literally have nothing negative to say about these.

I had the good fortune to have 20/15 vision most of my life, but as I hit my mid-40's, I began to notice a few things. Failing eyesight for some of us creeps in slowly and methodically so you're not really sure it's happening until it's way worse. For me, I began convincing myself that I was holding things too close to my face to look at them, so that's why they must be blurry. Boy was I wrong! My employer in a previous life (career-wise), was once an Optician so when I described what I thought was going on, he simply said "Oh, you're just getting older, it happens to all of us..." then handed me his "reading glasses" - something I never saw him wear before. He handed me what he called "1.5's" and sure enough, it was night and day better. That night I picked these up. The frames themselves are pretty attractive for a general offering (a non-fitted set you'd get at retail places for instance where they measure you, cut your lenses, etc), and they're comfortable to wear even for longer periods of time. Build quality feels excellent - not dainty or delicate which was a concern of mine in my line of work. Very good value for the money, especially if you're picking these up for the first time because you just aren't sure if your eyesight is going or not. The hardest part for me is learning to tip my head to get the right focus. These do not have immediate "lines" like glasses of old and "blend" between the magnifications. There's a little stick on guide you could use, but I blindly pulled that off as soon as they arrived ... pun intended. I recommend you study that little sticker first so you'll adapt faster than I did! :D
